German AI developer Black Forest Labs is negotiating a $200-$300 million funding round at a $3.25 billion valuation, with Salesforce Ventures and AMP leading the investment. The Freiburg-based startup, founded by Stable Diffusion researchers, specializes in generative AI for image creation.
Meta Platforms has already committed over $100 million to license Black Forest's technology, while Adobe integrates its AI drawing features. The company joins France's Mistral AI as Europe's contenders in the generative AI race against US giants.
